Reflect

Guided reflection that extracts gratitude, wins, struggles, and people notes from free-form input

Purpose

Share unstructured thoughts and I’ll organize them into your daily note sections. Extracts energy levels, mood, gratitude, wins, struggles, and people observations.

How to Use

Invoke with /reflect in Claude Code.

Instructions

  1. Gather context first (before asking questions):

    • Read target daily note (100 Periodics/Daily/YYYY-MM-DD ddd.md)
    • Read all meeting notes for that date: 300 Entities/Meetings/YYYYMMDD*.md
    • Extract wiki-links from daily note content (e.g., [[Note Name]])
    • Read linked notes from 200 Notes/ folder
    • This context informs better questions and richer reflections
  2. Ask user one open question using AskUserQuestion with free text, referencing what you found:

“Based on [specific meetings/notes from the day], what stands out? Any wins, struggles, gratitude, or people observations?”

  1. From their response + gathered context, infer and extract (reflection should reference specific meetings/notes/decisions from the day):
FieldHow to infer
EnergyLanguage/tone - tired words = Low, energetic = High, mixed = Variable
MoodOverall sentiment - frustrated = Rough, content = Good, excited = Great
GratitudeAnything thankful for, appreciative of, glad about
WinsAccomplishments, things that went well, successes
StrugglesFrustrations, challenges, things that didn’t go well
ProfessionalWork, career, meetings, projects, team stuff
PeopleObservations about specific people (praise, feedback, interactions)
PersonalNon-work life - health, hobbies, family, personal goals
  1. Update target daily note (100 Periodics/Daily/YYYY-MM-DD ddd.md):
    • Update frontmatter energy: field (lowercase: high/medium/low/variable)
    • Write rich reflection that synthesizes user response + gathered context (meetings, notes, decisions)
    • Append to existing section content (don’t overwrite)
    • Skip sections with nothing new
